Large Chinese Blue-and-White Covered Porcelain Tureen

An elegant blue-and-white covered serving tureen, decorated in the traditional cobalt palette with an idyllic landscape of pavilions, trees, mountains and waterside scenery. The gently rounded bowl carries a domed cover with a simple knop finial and is flanked by two moulded loop handles; key-fret bands frame the central landscape, with additional floral and auspicious motifs at the sides.
